This place is the parochial church of the municipality of Haute-Isle, dedicated to the Virgin of the Annunciation. She welcomes regularly services and religious ceremonies of the parochial sector of Magny-en-Vexin.
It is the unique church of this type in Ile-de-France, what what makes its main interest. Only the bell tower is in masonry, and even the outside facade is other than the rock of chalk left ready as such. The unique nave is completely excavated in the rock. The church is registered on the Additional Inventory of Historic monuments since 1926.
